CAEC supports continuing education through the Electric Cooperative Foundation Scholarship Program each year. Graduating high school seniors in CAEC’s service area are eligible to compete for two, $500 scholarships.
2012 Applications are now available. Deadline is March 16, 2012.
2012 Scholarship Application
The program, established in 1997, awards scholarships to dependents of members of participating electric cooperatives. Granted only to graduating high school seniors, the student must attend a four-year college, a junior college, a technical school or vocational school of the scholarship recipient's choice provided that such school is an accredited institution.
The 2011 scholarship recipients are Wendy Pittman of Autauga Academy and Bryant Northington of Prattville High School. Pittman plans to attend the Auburn University to study Electrical Engineering and Northington plans to attend the University of Alabama majoring in Accounting.
