Electricity from Garbage?  

Everyone seems to be going "green" these days, and CAEC offers you the opportunity to do the same with our Green Power Choice program. This program allows you to purchase electricity generated from methane gas, a byproduct of buried garbage in landfills.

By participating in the Green Power Choice program you are improving the future availability of our fossil fuel supply, and further diversifying the mix of fuels for power generation. Greater generation diversity provides a more reliable power supply and a small hedge against increasing coal and natural gas prices. CAEC has a limited amount of Green Power for purchase by the membership, sold in 100 kWh blocks for $2 each per month - sign-up today so you can be a part of the energy issue solution.
