Governed by its Bylaws that are adopted by the membership, the Board of Trustees of Central Alabama Electric Cooperative is responsible for setting strategic direction and policy for the cooperative. The trustees, selected through elections conducted each year at Annual Meeting, serve staggered three-year terms. Each member of the Board of Trustees is also a member of the cooperative and receives electric service from CAEC. As elected trustees, they too have a vested interest in the quality of service as well as the cost of electricity to the membership. The trustees also hire the President/CEO who oversees daily operations.
Led by the President/CEO, the cooperative is organized into three divisions: Customer & Business Services, Engineering & Operations and Corporate Services. Each division is directed by a vice president, and together, these individuals comprise CAEC’s executive team.
