CAEC supports continuing education through the Electric Cooperative Foundation Scholarship Program each year. Graduating high school seniors in CAEC’s service area are eligible to compete for two, $500 scholarships.
The program, established in 1997, awards scholarships to dependents of members of participating electric cooperatives. Granted only to graduating high school seniors, the student must attend a four-year college, a junior college, a technical school or vocational school of the scholarship recipient's choice provided that such school is an accredited institution.

The 2010 scholarship recipients are Allison Terrell of Holtville High School and Emma Kate Hill of Elmore County High School. Terrell plans to attend the University of Alabama to study Business and Hill plans to attend Auburn University majoring in Political Science.
